Series is open according to the Policy on Access to the Fund's Archives. Files will be screened by reference staff for any time restrictions.

Series consists of photographs authored by IMF photographers of individuals, events, or materials for the External Relations Department (EXR) from 1991 through 2003. Gaps include photographs from 1992, 1993 and 1996 through 1999. Photographs (negatives, prints, contact sheets) have been kept in their original order as established by IMF photographers and are arranged chronologically by year and then by event date. Archival descriptions for each year of IMF Visitor's Center photographs are available at the subseries level. Names of individuals and events have been listed, where they have been identified., For preservation reasons, photographic negatives are separated from prints and contact sheets and are stored in 2 boxes. Box 1 contains the negatives and box 2 contains the corresponding prints and contact sheets. The negatives in box 1 are organized in chronological order by year and then date. The prints and contact sheets in box 2 are also organized chronologically by year and date in one archival file, [File 1]. Negatives and corresponding prints and contact sheets can be matched together with the date, title, or markings found on the enclosures as established by IMF photographers or supplied by the archivist. In addition, textual records are stored in the files with the prints and contact sheets. Not all negatives have corresponding prints and contact sheets.
