Series consists of correspondence sent and received by the Bureau of Statistics Immediate Office specifically related to its Technical Assistance Program. Included are internal memoranda, communications with officials from external organizations and country officials, and cables. Topics include letters of thanks, requests for translation, requests for reports and other material related to the Technical Assistance Program, and minimal back-to-office reports meant for an internal audience. Predominantly the correspondence is directed to or sent by John B. McLenaghan, Director of the Statistics Department. This material differs from McLenaghan's Correspondence Files as it was noted differently on the file title and segregated from the regular correspondence and is specific in subject to the Technical Assistance Program. Correspondence is organized in reverse chronological order.
