Series consists of subject files maintained by Asian Department Division A (ASDDA). Contains operational records, internal correspondence, memoranda and reports (1968-1990). Records are primarily copies that have been retained as documentation exchanged between other ASD area divisions and the Immediate Office with various annotations. Subjects covered include compensatory financing facility, exchange rate/surveillance, structural adjustment facility and world economic outlook., Series is processed in chronological tranches. Within successive tranches, files are arranged alphabetically by subject. Tranche 2 files (1989-1990, Boxes 35-37) include external debt, oil and primary commodity prices and quota.
