Series contains files concerning Fund's relations with member countries: correspondence with member country officials; briefings for official visits, meetings with visiting officials and delegations and summits; minutes of meetings; memoranda addressed to the Managing Director for consideration and approval (briefings for Article IV consultation and use of Fund resources discussions, back-to-office reports, draft staff reports, reports on technical assistance missions, reports on membership obligations, policy papers); Board documents; background information on member countries, and newspaper clippings., Correspondence includes original letters of heads of States and Finance ministers. Memoranda consist mostly of copies of annotated documents whose originals have been sent back to sender. Annotations are in the hand of Managing Director Camdessus but also Deputy Managing Director Richard Erb's and, after1994, First Deputy Director Stanley Fisher's., Series was processed in successive chronological tranches (1987-1988: Boxes 1-30; 1988-1992: Boxes 31-107). Within each tranche records are arranged in alphabetical order by country, and within each file reverse chronologically.
