Fonds consists of records from the Immediate Office of the Bureau of Language Services (BLS). Records date from 1967 to 1969 and were created and/or maintained by the predecessor of BLS, the Language Services Division (1963-1972) in the Secretary's Department. The fonds contains only one file on meetings held by the United Nations organizations on language services policy matters such as use of languages other than working languages, interpretation, translation of publications and documentation, and cooperation amongst international organizations.
