Series consists of the subject files of Managing Director Jacques de Larosière, and includes records related to general aspects of the internal management and administrative duties of the Managing Director., The material found in these files consists of memoranda and correspondence; draft versions of Board documents; staff reports; country and meeting briefing books; speeches; press releases; agendas and meeting minutes; comments from the Deputy Managing Directors to the Managing Director; on-return notes; and handwritten notes by the Managing Director made while attending Executive Board and other meetings., Series consists of papers related to the many social events the Managing Director attended or hosted, and includes material related to planning these events, such as seating arrangements and menus. Much of the material was created by the Office of the Managing Director during the Annual Meetings, including material related to meetings with various committees, social events held as part of the meetings, and speeches given by the Managing Director. This series also has material from the Development Committee and the Interim Committee, including draft communiqués., Series also consists of material from the External Relations Department, including invites to the Managing Director to various events, advice on press relations, research for presentations, requests for interviews, and transcripts of any interviews granted, press briefings, and publicity control., Subjects covered include Annual Meetings; Article IV consultations; balance of payments; Bank/Fund collaboration; commitments; compensatory matters; the exchange rate and the yen/dollar (1982); Egyptian food riots (1985); IMF policies; Stand-By Arrangements; surveillance; United States legislation and quotas; and, the World Economic Outlook survey., These records also include material produced by the Managing Director's assistants. As a result, there was duplication of documents in this material. Duplicates were discarded if there were no annotations., Files are arranged alphabetically, and are in reverse chronological order within each file.
