Series consists of files that include correspondence, reports, publications, and related printed and compiled materials relating to the IMF's work. The series is arranged with twelve subseries focusing on specific economic subjects. These include the following: S100 Currencies and International Banking; S200 Depositories and Channels of Communication; S300 Exchange Position; S400 Exchange Systems; S500 Gold; S600 Holdings (Fund); S700 Members and Membership; S800 Missions, Visits, and Technical Assistance; S900 Net Official Holdings; S1000 Exchange Arrangements (including Exchange Rates and former Par Values); S2000 Special Drawing Rights (SDRs); S3000 Reform of the International Monetary System (leading to the Second Amendment, 1971-76), The subseries S1000 Exchange Arrangements and S2000 Special Drawing Rights (SDRs) include other subgroups as follows: S1100 Payments and Trade; S1200 Quotas; S1300 Silver; S1400 Statistics; S1500 Subscriptions; S1700 Use of Fund Resources; S1800 Regional Economic and Development Programs; S2100 Allocation and Cancellation of SDRs; S2200 Participants and other Holders; S2300 Operations and Transactions in SDRs; S2400 Reconstitution of Holdings of SDRs; and S2500 Interest, Charges, and Assessments., The Economic Subject Files are housed in 618 archival boxes. Boxes 1 through 607 are arranged in ascending order beginning with S100 and through S3000. Boxes 608 through 618 consist of those files and documents which are deemed "closed" by IMF Archives access policies.
