Series consists of photographs authored by IMF photographers of individuals, events, or exhibits and exhibit materials for the IMF Visitor's Center, from 1986 through 1993 and 2000 through 2004. Gaps include photographs from 1994 through 1999. Photographs (negatives, prints, contact sheets, slides, and interpositives) have been kept in their original order as established by IMF photographers and are arranged chronologically by year and then by event date. Archival descriptions for each year of IMF Visitor's Center photographs are available at the subseries level. Names of individuals and events have been listed, where they have been identified., For preservation reasons, photographic negatives are separated from prints and contact sheets and are stored in 4 boxes. Boxes 1 through 3 contain the negatives and box 4 contains the corresponding prints and contact sheets. The negatives in boxes 1 through 3 are organized by year in the following boxes: Box 1: [Not Dated], 1986-1991; Box 2: 1992-1993, 2000; Box 3: 2001-2002. The prints and contact sheets in box 4 are further organized into 3 archival files by year and include the following: [File 1] Not Dated, 1986-1988; [File 2] 1989-1992; and [File 3] 1993, 2000-2002. Negatives and corresponding prints and contact sheets can be matched together with the date, title, or markings found on the enclosures as established by IMF photographers or supplied by the archivist. In addition, textual records, including requisitions, memos, or photo logs of events, are stored in the files with the prints and contact sheets. Not all negatives have corresponding prints and contact sheets.
