- Scope and ContentSeries consists of Advisor Horst Ungerer's chronological files. They cover period (1970-1986) of his tenure as Advisor of the European Department (EUR). Addressees include the Managing Director, Deputy Managing Director, EUR division chiefs, other area and functional departments, government officials, institutes, universities, and scholars. Files contain outgoing correspondence and internal memoranda. In particular, memoranda to the Managing Director and Deputy Managing Director illustrate Ungerer's approaches assisting and advising management on a variety of issues. Series also consists of "Memorandum for Files" documenting matters in which Horst Ungerer was directly involved.
