Subseries consists of photographs of the Third Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the Board of Governors of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) (now the World Bank Group), held in Washington, DC from September 27 through October 1, 1948. Authored by commercial photographer Gretchen Van Tassel and IMF photographers, the subseries includes photographs of sessions, receptions, and the facilities used by attendees. Many of the photographs feature IMF and IBRD senior staff and members of the Boards of Governors., Photographs (prints and one copy negative) have been kept in their original order and are individually housed and numbered ([1], [2], [3], etc.) in ascending order to reflect their original arrangement as found in one photo album. Photographs have been filed in groups to reflect designations made by the album creator according to the Annual Meetings events. The back of each photograph authored by commercial photographer Gretchen Van Tassel has the photographer's stamp that includes, "Gretchen Van Tassel Photographer" as well as a number signifying the negative number. The remaining prints authored by IMF photographers are only marked with a negative number that have been cross-referenced with their corresponding negatives found in the IMF Archives series: TGSIMIG 1948 Annual Meetings Photographs.
