- Ámbito de contenidoSeries contains primarily outgoing memoranda and letters maintained by Jonathan Levin throughout various positions he held within the Fiscal Affairs Department divisions, concluding with Chief, Fiscal Review Division 1971-1972. There are some memoranda to file, and others addressed to G.E. Lent of Fiscal Policy Division, FAD Director Richard Goode or Deputy Director, other FAD economists and IMF staff, professors or scholars, and government officials. Includes: comments on briefing papers and proposed studies, Dr. Levin's papers on fiscal issues (tax incentives in Costa Rica, 1964); seminar notes, mission preparation and reports on technical assistance missions, country fiscal data figures (Columbia, 1965) and discussion of statistics; draft sections for consultation and briefing papers; meeting summaries; IMF Institute training course matters; and occasionally Dr. Levin's monthly work reports and later for Budget Division when he was Assistant Chief, then Chief and various internal administrative issues. The series documents the early activities of the Department's divisions and the formulation of ideas in the further development of the program and fiscal analysis, notably in report on Tax Research and Fund Operations (August 1966), Deputy Resident Representatives in Fiscal Affairs (1970) , FAD collaboration in BOS or Bureau of Statistics mission (August 1971). A few incoming letters and memoranda addressed to Dr. Levin may also be found.
