- Ambito e contenutoSeries consists of photographs authored by IMF photographers of individuals and events for the IMF publication, IMF Survey, from 1976 and 1987 through 2003. Photographs (negatives, prints, and contact sheets) have been kept in their original order as established by IMF photographers and are arranged chronologically by year and then by event date. Archival descriptions for each year of IMF Survey photographs are available at the subseries level. Names of individuals and events have been listed, where they have been identified. Typical events documented in the series include speeches, seminars, press conferences, conferences, symposiums, panel discussions at the IMF Visitor’s Center and other locations, and candid and portrait shots of Executive Directors, management, and staff for IMF Survey articles., For preservation reasons, photographic negatives are separated from prints and contact sheets and are stored in 12 boxes. Boxes 1 through 10 contain the negatives and boxes 11 and 12 contain the corresponding prints, contact sheets, and textual records. The negatives in boxes 1 through 11 are organized by year in the following boxes: Box 1: 1976, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991; Box 2: 1992, 1993; Box 3: 1994, 1995; Box 4: 1996, 1997; Box 5: 1998; Box 6: 1999; Box 7: 2000; Box 8: 2001; Box 9: 2002; and Box 10: 2003. The prints, contact sheets, and textual records in boxes 11 and 12 are further organized into 13 archival files by year and include the following: [File 1] 1976, 1987, 1988; [File 2] 1989; [File 3] 1990; [File 4] 1991; [File 5] 1992; [File 6] 1993; [File 7] 1994; [File 8] 1995; [File 9] 1996, 1997; [File 10] 1998; [File 11] 1999; [File 12] 2000, 2001; and [File 13] 2002, 2003. Negatives and corresponding prints and contact sheets can be matched together with the date, title, or markings found on the enclosures as established by IMF photographers or supplied by the archivist. In addition, textual records, including requisitions, memos, or photo logs of events, are stored in the files with the prints and contact sheets. Not all negatives have corresponding prints or contact sheets. Gaps include photographs from 1977 through 1986.
