- [nb-NO]Scope and Content[nb-NO]Fonds primarily contains records of the Asian and Pacific Department (APD) maintained by its Immediate Office and its area divisions from ASD’s creation in 1953 to the early 2000's. Records document the functions of APD in the areas of: department administration; monitoring the economic, financial and political developments of its member countries; negotiating the use of IMF resources; conducting missions and participating in meetings; providing technical assistance to countries; and, collaborating with other international organizations. The fonds also contains the files of the Director and Deputy Director during or leading up to the Asian Crisis from 1995 to 2000. These are currently closed under the time rule of the Policy on Access to IMF archives.
