WHD Division Country Files series has some material which has been closed. The closed material for this series is in box 295.

Sous-fonds consists of records created by the Western Hemisphere Department (WHD) area divisions. The organization of the divisions changed over time, Country desks transferred to different divisions in order to balance work demands or in order to provide more focused regional surveillance. The records generated by the divisions remained more or less consistent despite these organizational changes. The sous-fonds is arranged into three series: Chronological Files, Country Files and Subject Files. The majority of the records are country files which mainly show the divisions’ work in: the maintenance of an up-to-date database on economic, financial and political developments in member countries; the guidance of resident representatives; and, the review of general policy papers and other work produced by other IMF departments.
