- Scope and ContentSeries consists photographs authored by IMF photographers of meetings and receptions or luncheons for retiring IMF staff, from 1966 through 2003. Meetings usually include the retiree and the incumbent Managing Director, Deputy Managing Director and select senior staff member(s) shaking hands, seated and engaged in conversation, or receiving an envelope. Receptions and luncheons usually include retirees greeting other IMF staff, delivering speeches, and receiving gifts., Photographs (negatives, prints, contact sheets) have been kept in their original order and are arranged chronologically by year and then by date. For preservation reasons, the photographs are stored according to format and size in 5 archival boxes as follows: Box 1: prints contact sheets and five 4x5 inch negatives; Box 2: 4x6 inch color prints; and Box 3-5, negatives. Descriptions are available for each year of retirement photographs at the subseries level.
